The Lake Hopatcong Alliance is a non-profit organization that focuses on preserving and protecting Lake Hopatcong.
We are holding our first-ever fundraiser on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Jefferson House, and would be most grateful if you could help us spread the word about the event. If interested, and able to attend, please find the details below:
Lake Hopatcong Alliance Season Kick Off Dinner Dance
Date: Friday, May 14, 2010
Time: 7pm - 11pm
Location: Jefferson House, 139 Nolan’s Point Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849
Cost: $45 per person
Event Features: The “Season Kick Off Dinner Dance” will feature a special presentation from Marty Kane, president of the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum and author of Lake Hopatcong: Then and Now. The event will also feature a cocktail reception with complementary wine and beer, buffet spread, and live music from the band Nite Shift. Proceeds will support the Lake Hopatcong Alliance and the Lake Hopatcong Awareness Campaign, a new public outreach and education program designed to protect and preserve Lake Hopatcong.

Lake Hopatcong offers camping, water sports, fine dining and much more. The Sunday Sailboat regattas on the lake are a sight to see... especially when the wind kicks up! Remember, when watching from your boat not to go into the course area! And, most important is that a sailboat always has the right of way when not being powered by a motor.
Water skiing! Yes this is the place to be, the many coves of Lake Hopatcong offer wonderful water skiing conditions. No matter what your water sport activity is... waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing or tubing, Lake Hopatcong has great areas and is usually like glass in the early morning. Water ski instruction is also available for the beginner who wants to become an expert.
Speed boats and pleasure boats are always welcome.
Patio boats numbers are on the rise here on the lake-- yes the "party barge" is alive and well on Lake Hopatcong NJ!
With two public beach areas and the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation for camping you do not have to live here to be on vacation. Many of the local marinas offer different types of boat rentals and even jet-ski rentals...for those who might like to enjoy the lake from the "waters perspective" part time or for the first time!
